Consultancy — Pricing

Five ways to engage. Sized to the problem.

Beyond Arc Consultancy is for businesses that know AI matters, but don't want a six-month strategy project before anything useful happens.

Find the bottleneck. Map the opportunity. Build the right first move. Stay involved if the work earns it.

The tiers

Same engineering and judgement at every level. Different scope, different price, different commitment. All tiers priced "from" — the floor is a small-business version; scope drives the final fee.

01

Diagnostic

from £1,500

Written, async

Best for: A scoped review of one business and one bottleneck. Delivered as a document — no live session. Scope scales with business size.

Included

  • Short structured intake — business, bottleneck, outcome wanted
  • Desk review of your public information and what you share
  • Current-state read + prioritised opportunities
  • Recommended first move, with the trade-offs called out
  • Written output you can act on — implement yourself or come back for more

Typical outputs

Opportunity map, risk / feasibility view, recommended first pilot, clear view of what is worth doing and what is not.

Scope caveats

Advisory only. No live working session. One business unit / one core use case unless agreed. Larger organisations priced up from floor.

02

Diagnostic Workshop

from £3,000

Live half-day + written output

Best for: Teams where internal alignment matters. Gets the people in the room, works the problem live, lands a written output everyone has seen built.

Included

  • 1 half-day working session with the team
  • Pre-session review of current context
  • Live discussion on bottlenecks, workflows and opportunities
  • Prioritised shortlist of practical use cases
  • Recommendation on where to start first
  • Written summary with next-step options

Typical outputs

Same outputs as the Diagnostic plus internal alignment around what is worth doing and what is not.

Scope caveats

Advisory only, no build. Limited document / process review. One business unit / one core use case focus unless agreed.

03

Business Ops Audit

from £5,000

Fixed fee

Best for: The trifecta — data, people, stakeholders. A comprehensive review across the business, not a single-bottleneck look. For when multiple moving parts need a read before deciding what to automate, improve or rebuild.

Included

  • Stakeholder interviews across the business
  • Data and systems review — what you have, what you do with it, where it breaks
  • Workflow, handoff, and bottleneck assessment
  • Quick-wins vs deeper system opportunities
  • Prioritised recommendations by impact, effort, risk
  • A practical roadmap you can execute with or without us

Typical outputs

Current-state diagnostic, workflow and bottleneck review, shortlist of automation / agent / systems opportunities, recommended 30 / 60 / 90 day next steps, suggested pilot scope and delivery order.

Scope caveats

Audit and roadmap only, no implementation. Pricing assumes reasonable access to stakeholders and materials. Deeper technical architecture review may require separate scoping.

04

Pilot Build

from £8,000

Fixed fee

Best for: Businesses ready to stop talking and put one real use case into the world.

Included

  • Scoped pilot around one priority use case
  • Workflow design
  • Build / configuration of the agreed system
  • Limited integrations where needed
  • Testing and refinement
  • Handover guidance for live use
  • Short post-launch support window

Typical outputs

Working pilot, defined process for use, handover notes, recommendations for phase 2 if justified. Examples: internal research / reporting workflow, lead triage and qualification flow, content repurposing workflow, internal assistant for a specific function.

Scope caveats

One use case only unless separately scoped. Enterprise integrations, major data cleanup or custom software development may increase cost. Third-party software, API, hosting and licence costs are separate. Pilot success does not automatically mean full rollout is included.

05

Retained Advisory

from £2,000

per month

Best for: Businesses that want ongoing input while they scale, refine or roll out what has already been identified or built.

Included

  • Monthly advisory support
  • Prioritisation of next use cases
  • Review of live systems and issues
  • Regular strategy / delivery check-ins
  • Iteration guidance
  • Access for decisions, troubleshooting and momentum

Typical outputs

Rolling advisory support, implementation prioritisation, issue triage and optimisation guidance, fractional AI / ops leadership without full-time overhead.

Scope caveats

Retainer is advisory-first unless build capacity is explicitly included. Unused time does not automatically roll over unless agreed. Substantial new builds are scoped separately. Best used after a workshop, audit or pilot rather than as the first engagement.

All prices are floors for a small-business scope. Final fee confirmed after a brief scoping call before any commitment. Larger organisations, multi-team delivery or heavy integration work sit above these floors.

Tier Best for Price Main outcome Delivery type
Diagnostic Written read, no group session from £1,500 Prioritised use-case shortlist Written, async
Diagnostic Workshop Internal alignment matters from £3,000 Live workshop + written output Half-day + written

Which tier is right for you?

Pick the one whose conditions match where you are now. If two fit, the lighter one usually beats the heavier one.

Choose Diagnostic if:

  • You want a written read on where to start, without a group session
  • One business, one bottleneck, one recommended first move
  • You're happy to take the output and decide your own next step

Choose Diagnostic Workshop if:

  • Internal alignment matters — the team needs to see the work happen
  • You want the same written output, built live with the people who'll act on it
  • You want an experienced outside view in the room, not just on paper

Choose Business Ops Audit if:

  • The business has multiple moving parts, not one clean bottleneck
  • You want the full read — data, people, stakeholders
  • You're deciding what to automate, improve or rebuild across the business

Choose Pilot Build if:

  • You already know the use case you want to test
  • The business needs a working system, not another planning document
  • You're happy to start with one focused area and prove value first

Choose Retained Advisory if:

  • You already have momentum and need steady senior input
  • You want support prioritising, refining and scaling what comes next
  • You don't need a full-time internal AI / ops lead yet

Recommended buying path

For most clients, this is the lowest-risk way to engage:

Diagnostic Diagnostic Workshop (if alignment needed) Business Ops Audit (if deeper review needed) Pilot Build Retained Advisory (only if the work earns it)

Keeps risk down. Gets to value faster. Avoids paying for more process than the problem needs. If you already know the use case, skip straight to Pilot Build — the Diagnostic exists for teams who need clarity first, not as a forced gate.

FAQ

What's the difference between the Diagnostic and the Business Ops Audit?

The Diagnostic is a scoped review — one business, one bottleneck, a written output. The Business Ops Audit is the full trifecta: data, people, stakeholders. A comprehensive review across the business with a prioritised roadmap. Different depth, different price.

Why is the Diagnostic priced "from £1,500"?

The floor is a small-business overview-run. Bigger organisations cost more — more stakeholders, more systems, deeper data review. "From" sets a minimum; final fee is confirmed after a short scoping call before any commitment.

Do I have to start with the Diagnostic?

No. If you know the use case and want to skip to a Pilot Build, that's fine. The Diagnostic exists for teams who need clarity first — not as a forced gate.

What kind of work do you actually do?

See the Smart Water case study. Website delivered Q1 2026; operational tooling in flight. Honest about what's delivered vs what's still in progress. More case studies land at /case-studies as engagements close — we publish only real ones.

Why "from" prices and not fixed ranges?

Ranges invite haggling. "From" sets a floor and signals that scope drives the final fee — which it does. We quote at the floor unless the work demands more, and we tell you the driver of the delta explicitly.

What's NOT included in any tier?

Third-party software licences, API usage, hosting or cloud costs, major data cleanup, enterprise compliance review, extensive custom software engineering, full team training programmes. If any of these come up in scoping, they're flagged with separate pricing before work starts.

Do you take equity, success fees, or subscription deals?

No. Fixed fees on engagements, monthly fees on the retainer. No revenue-share, no ongoing percentage, no equity. The commercial model stays simple so you own the system and the relationship outright.

How does payment work?

Fixed-fee work splits across deposit and milestone or completion stages. Retainers bill monthly in advance. We invoice in GBP. UK VAT applies if Beyond Arc crosses the threshold (currently below).

What if scope expands mid-engagement?

Timing and price reviewed before any work continues outside the original scope. No surprises in the final invoice. Pilot projects are intentionally tight to avoid bloated delivery.

How fast can you start?

Written Diagnostics usually within 1–2 weeks of agreement. Workshops typically within 2 weeks. Audits and Pilot Builds depend on access to stakeholders and source material — usually 2–4 weeks to start. Retained Advisory starts immediately after agreement.

What if the first move doesn't justify more work?

We say so. Smaller, sharper engagements that prove value early beat long contracts that drag. If a Pilot Build doesn't earn a Retainer or a Phase 2, we close cleanly and you keep the system.

If you need a slide deck, there are bigger firms for that.

If you need a clear first move, a practical roadmap, or a working pilot that solves something real — start here.
